Xbox 720 Rumours: The Story so far.
Whilst Microsoft has repeatedly discussed the planned 10 year lifecycle of the current Xbox 360, a device which launched in 2005, there have been a flurry of rumours in recent months suggesting the PlayStation rival will launch the Xbox 720 at E3 2012.
“We think we're a little over halfway with the life cycle of the console, but that's not to say there won't be an overlap,” Microsoft’s European Xbox head Chris Lewis announced in a recent interview. “I'm not going to announce specifically or talk about timing. But you could imagine there could be overlap, it depends. We're not being specific about the next generation at this stage."
