Lego launches digital camera range

And they come ready made

Not just a child's plaything, the Lego range is now reaching out to big kids with a range of cameras and gadgets. And we can't wait!

Lego has signed a deal with Digital Blue to produce digital cameras, video cameras, MP3 players, walkie talkies and other electronics, all with that familiar brick-based design and all (thankfully) ready-built. Bricks we can deal with, circuit boards really are a different matter.

Sadly, the company hasn't yet released technical details of its range, but as we're talking kid-friendly kit, the words 'solid' and 'unbreakable' will probably feature more than the megapixel count. Saying that, if you're taking a camera out on a wild night out, that's surely no bad thing? And if it does break, sticking it back together will kill some dead time in the taxi rank.

Prices for the US launch are quoted at a pocket-friendly $19.99 to $59.99, with larger items like boom boxes and alarm clock radios following later in the year. Bring it on!
