Apple's repeatedly rumoured and long speculated iTV television set has made something of an early appearance with designer Guiherme Schasiepen crafting mock images of the device
Offering a tantalising look at the possible design of Apple’s much mooted entry into the dedicated television market, Schasiepen’s iTV designs show Apple’s now iconic styling characteristics encompassing an expansive widescreen display.
Repeatedly rumoured since the launch of the latest Apple TV media streaming device in September 2010, speculation surrounding the possible introduction of a range of Apple TVs has escalated since the publication of Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs in which he quoted the former Apple head as stating he had “cracked the code” on how to build a TV to the same design and performance standards of the company’s market leading tablets, smartphones, PMPs and computers.
Last week Apple analyst Gene Munster suggested Apple’s iTV systems could be with us sooner that expected stating that following “meetings with contacts close to Asian component suppliers, industry contacts, Apple's patent portfolio for television technology, and recent product launches,” an Apple iTV release was expected at the end of 2012.
