The futuristic footwear combines Nike's Air Zoom cushioning with built-in heating and vibration technology to help your feet recover after exercise – or just a long day on them.
The clever bit is a removable Hyperslide Pod that slots into the adjustable strap. This delivers three levels of heat and three levels of vibration, helping to reduce tension and soothe tired feet.
Controls are built into the pod itself, but you can also tweak the settings using the Hyperice app. Treatments run in automatic 15-minute sessions, making them easy to fit into your recovery routine.
Underfoot, the slides feature a full-length Air Zoom unit that's designed to spread the heat and vibration across your feet while also delivering the sort of comfort you'd expect from premium recovery footwear.
Nike says the Air Zoom Hyperslide isn't just aimed at athletes either. The company believes they'll appeal to anyone who spends long hours standing, travelling or walking for work.
The only catch is the price. The Air Zoom Hyperslide will cost $250 (around £185 / AU$385) when it launches on 29 September, making it far more expensive than your average pair of sliders.
Still, if you're already spending money on massage guns, compression boots or recovery gadgets, these could make a lot of sense. A pair of sliders that warm your feet and give them a massage while you relax? That's the sort of gadget I'd happily pay the premium to slip on after a long run.
