This is the most useful Black Friday deal you never knew you needed

It's a good idea to keep one of these portable jump starters in your car's boot at all times

We love the best jump starters here at T3. These power packs have their own integrated battery and can deliver enough power to instantly start your car if its own battery is flat. Amazon is currently discounting them as part of its early Black Friday sale, and if you don't already own one, then we think now is the time to buy.

The early Black Friday sales sees Noco jump starters discounted, which is one of the biggest and most reliable brands out there.

What's impressive is that these jump starter batteries are just a little larger than portable smartphone batteries. As such, we'd recommend keeping one fully charged in your car's boot at all times – just in case.

It's worth noting that these do not charge the battery back up, but once the car is started its alternator will feed energy back into the battery.

As the name suggests, this works a lot like any other charger you have at home. It plugs into a wall outlet and connects to your car battery to charge it back up after it has died.

It's worth noting, due to the size of car batteries, this can take some time. Where your phone can fill up in a couple of hours, a car battery can take between 10 and 24 hours to refill from empty.
