After T3 tore up the App Store, by storming to the top of the download charts, The Economist has become the latest magazine to enter the app age, by serving up its full content for iPad and iPhone users.

From today, the legendary current affairs mag will offer the mobile content free to its current subscribers of both the print and online editions.

The Economist for iPad and iPhone also includes an audio version, read to you by professional newscasters, so if your eyes get a little strained reading on the iPhone's Retina Screen. All articles are cached for offline reading.

Subscribers get the content free, but single issues can be downloaded from within the free-to-download application from today for £3.49.
