Nokia's latest Windows Phone handset the Nokia Lumia 900 was tipped to hit British shores in June before holding pages were pulled
Having suggested that the US exclusive Nokia Lumia 900 would touch down on British shores this June smartphone retailer Carphone Warehouse has since pulled the device’s holding page from its website creating further confusion around the handset’s availability.
Following the handset’s official unveiling at CES 2012 ahead of its US release reports yesterday suggested the Windows Phone packing Nokia Lumia 900 would touch down in the UK this June with latest goings on seeming to refute such claims.
Sporting 4G LTE technology it was expected that the oversized Lumia 800 follow-on would remain a US exclusive handset but smartphone retailer Carphone Warehouse teased a June Nokia Lumia 900 UK release date with eager consumers given the chance to register their interest in the device.
Speaking with T3 an official spokesperson for Nokia said they currently had “no knowledge” of plans for a Nokia Lumia 900 UK release date.
A larger version than the already available Nokia Lumia 800 the Lumia 900 features a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display with Microsoft’s Windows Phone Mango OS further plumped by a 1.4GHz processor and a host of Nokia exclusive WP7 apps including Nokia Drive.
On the entertainment front the handset boasts an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities and, unlike the Lumia 800, a second, front-facing snapper.
