Bringing a bevy of new features to the flagship Sensation handset that was officially unveiled earlier this week, HTC has confirmed via its official Twitter feed that the Sense UI 3.0 will only be available on the latest model devices, leaving recent adopters of the HTC Desire S and Incredible S left with the skin’s predecessor.

Writing via the HTC Twitter feed in response to a follower’s question regarding the Sense 3.0 UI coming to past devices a company spokesperson declared “Due to Sense’s hardware requirements, only our newest devices (Flyer, Evo 3D, Sensation) will be able to support it.

Unveiled alongside the 1.2GHz dual-core processor touting Sensation, the HTC Sense 3.0 UI, which will run alongside Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS will boast 3D widgets, 360-degree menu carousels and smart lockscreen shortcuts when it hits devices next month.
