HTC Puccini tablet set for 27 June

Rumoured London event gets tongues wagging

Is HTC about to unleash Euro version of Android Honeycomb tablet?

HTC’s much-rumoured Android Honeycomb tablet, dubbed the Puccini, has been pegged for a 27 June announcement. The Taiwanese tech titan is set to hold a special event in London on that date.

With the phone maker already releasing a stack of new phones in 2011, the Puccini appears to be the safest bet when it comes to new HTC kit. A 4G version of the tab is already being primed for release in the US.

The Puccini is said to come with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 10-inch panel and the latest Google software. HTC’s current 7-inch tablet, the Flyer, only comes with Gingerbread under the hood.

We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more on this as we get it. Stay tuned here and to our Facebook and Twitter pages for all the latest.
