Halo and Xbox are both celebrating a centenary of life, with many arguing that one would not have survived without the other. Ever since the game first arrived as the flagship title for Xbox the two have had a relationship that has proven impossible to end.

Retailing at £27.70 on Amazon Halo: Anniversary Edition offers gamers a chance to play an almost brand-new experience at a price that doesn't break the bank surely putting other big titles this week into perspective. With the ability to swtich between both the classic and the remastered version in real-time the game lets Halo fans and gamers see how far Halo has come graphically since it first wowed Xbox owners all those years ago.

Offering Kinect functionality the game also lets those who have the peripheral scan certain objects in the game's environments from weapons, to people to vehicles, all then accessible in the 'Game Library' which offers in-depth information on each of them. You also get voice-commands which lets you perform actions such as reload, change weapon and throw grenades.

Halo 4 coming to Xbox 360

In other news Halo 4 will not be arriving on the much talked about 'Next generation Xbox' known as Xbox Ten or Xbox 720 instead making its way to the Xbox 360.

The release information was confirmed by 343 Industries boss Frank Connor when he made his way on to forum NeoGAF to help clarify a discussion about whether the next Halo game would be making an appearance on Microsoft's next generation console which has recently been codenamed as Xbox Ten.

"Halo 4 will be on Xbox 360 and use a modified core of the Halo engine(s). Not really a singular engine since it goes through fairly radical evolutions all the time."
