Apple's Magic Mouse uses multi-touch gestures

No buttons, just Bluetooth Magic

You’ve asked for it, and Apple has delivered, with the announcement of a new Magic Mouse, on sale today for just £55.

So what’s different about this mouse, to the old Mighty Mouse? Well for starters it’s a whole new look and feel – ergonomic, it also uses Apple’s multi-touch technology seen previously on the iPhone, iPod Touch and MacBook range of computers.

There’s no actual buttons on the mouse, instead users are required to use the same finger gestures they normally would on a Mac, scrolling and clicking with one or two fingers.

Phil Schiller of Apple commented “Apple's Multi-Touch technology allows us to offer an easy to use mouse in a simple and elegant design.”

The Magic Mouse is Bluetooth to avoid cable clutter and has an extended battery life, powered by just two AA batteries.

Available today, the Apple Magic Mouse is just £55.
