Multitasking and folders to hit iPad thanks to iOS 4.2
Apple iOS 4.2 release expected later today
After plenty of speculation and expectation as to when the latest edition of the Apple mobile operating system would finally land, today looks like it could be the day as Apple prepares the arrival of iOS 4.2.
Gadget site TechRadar is reporting that “a source close to the matter” has confirmed iOS 4.2 will be made available for a full range of Apple products by the fruity tech company later today with the usual 1PM Eastern Time arrival hotly tipped as the firm favourite for launch.
If accurate, UK iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users could be updating their device’s operating system by our 6pm. Whilst iPhone and iPod Touch users will be happy to receive a number of glitch fixes such as to the alarm system affected by the clock changes and other slight improvements, it is iPad owners who are set to benefit most from the iOS 4.2 arrival.
Whilst multitasking is the big taking point as the iPad joins the iPhone with Apple’s double-tap app access method, folder management, Game Center and the will-they, won’t-they AirPrint are all set to hit the market leading tablet device.
