Google-version of iOS classic out now.
Angry Birds has already proven to be more than a tad popular on the iPhone. But the maker’s of the awesome and addictive game, Rovio Mobile, have said that the Android version has already passed the one million mark.
That’s pretty impressive in itself, but is even more amazing when you consider it managed the feat in just one day. RovioMobile’s official Twitter feed said, “Worked out great too (once servers recovered) 1M+ downloads first day.”
The reference to the servers points to the fact that so many people bombarded app service GetJar, where Angry Birds for Android initially went on sale, that it couldn’t handle demand. That meant the game had to hit the Android Market earlier than planned.
