Breathing fresh life into your sleep station isn't cheap, but thanks to Amazon, it's currently a little lighter on the wallet. That's because the nation's favourite retailer has knocked as much as 45% off select Silentnight mattresses, bringing the starting price down to just £170. You'll need to act fast to take advantage of the offer, though – the sale will expire at 11:59pm, if Amazon doesn't run out of stock sooner, and then you'll be left waiting for the Black Friday deals to get a good night's sleep.

A total of 17 mattresses are on sale, ranging from pocket-sprung to memory foam. Although, it's the former that have been treated to the biggest discounts, because if there's one thing British people love it's a pocket-sprung mattress. At least, that's according to consumer association Which?, which noted that more than half the customers it surveyed about their mattress had purchased a pocket-sprung one.

So don't sleep (pun intended) on your chance to beat lower back pain by snagging a new one on the cheap this Silentnight sale.
