QUICK SUMMARY

Panasonic has announced its new Japanese Countertop Microwave NN-SF57RM in the US market.

The Panasonic Japanese Microwave has Japanese-inspired styling, and smart sensors that detect food temperature and automatically adjust power levels and cooking time for the best results.

Panasonic has launched its new Japanese Countertop Microwave NN-SF57RM, and it’s just solved the biggest issue I – and everyone who uses one – have with traditional microwaves.

Due to the rising issue of food waste, I’ve been making a conscious effort to eat leftovers which means I’m constantly using the microwave. But the way most traditional microwaves work is they pulse their power on and off which can result in your reheated food having hot and cold spots.

Panasonic has addressed this with its new Panasonic Japanese Countertop Microwave NN-SF57RM and fixed this common microwave problem. It uses the brand’s patented Inverter technology which maintains consistent power levels during the cooking process, so your food should be evenly hot and cooked throughout.

Another handy feature that the new Panasonic Japanese Microwave has is its new Genius Sensor 2.0. Featuring a thermo sensor positioned at 64 points within the microwave, the Genius Sensor 2.0 takes the guesswork out of cooking by detecting your food’s temperature and automatically adjusting its power levels and cooking time.

This new sensor technology means the Panasonic Japanese Microwave can cater to different food types and temperatures so you’re getting the best cooking or reheating results for your full meal. This feature as well as manual controls are easy to adjust and click with the button and dial interface that sits below the microwave door.

Panasonic has also developed its Panasonic Japanese Microwave to make one-bowl meals using its new Genius Sensor 2.0. This feature allows you to make full meals within a single bowl, so you add your ingredients and the microwave expertly cooks your whole meal. Options include carbonara, chilli and more.

As the name suggests, the Panasonic Japanese Microwave is inspired by Japanese styling where balance, simplicity and efficiency are at the forefront of its designs. The Panasonic Japanese Microwave looks more like an oven with its pull-down door, and it has minimalist controls and muted graphite finish. It looks the part, and has a surprisingly compact size that won’t take up much space in your kitchen.

The Panasonic Japanese Countertop Microwave NN-SF57RM is available to buy for $429.95 at Panasonic. As of writing, it’s currently only available in the US but I hope it comes to the UK soon as I’m in desperate need of a new microwave!
