A nostalgia-fueled poll to find the best year for videogames has been conducted by GAME - with 1996 emerging as the golden year for games fans

According to a poll by video game retailer GAME - 1996 was the "golden year" for gaming. Titles like Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, Red Alert (pictured), Super Mario 64 and Tekken 2 combined to give us our finest 365 days* of gaming in history.
