Windows Phone 7 line up confirmed

Five mobile makers roped in by Microsoft

Dell, HTC, LG, Asus and Samsung will all be touting blowers with Windows Phone 7.

Microsoft has confirmed that five major mobile makers will be slapping Windows Phone 7 onto their devices in the not-too-distant future.

With LG, Asus and Samsung already officially on side, Dell and HTC have both been outed as Windows Phone 7 partners. The latter comes as no surprise after a string of leaks about cells dubbed Mondrian, Mozart and Gold, all purportedly rocking the Big M’s new OS.

There’s still no word on when exactly Windows Phone 7 will actually launch, with late 2010 the only vague timetable available. But with prototypes doing the rounds and a welter of positive press, hopefully we’ll be seeing WP7 in action very soon.
