The T3 Gadget Awards 2011 have landed with the cream of the tech world crop set to battle it out over the coming months for the industry’s most prestigious prize.

Following the success of last year’s T3 Gadget Awards which saw more than 750,000 votes cast across 19 categories, the Awards return bigger and better than ever with new awards categories set to find the best Tablet of the Year and Gadget Accessory of the Year.

Set to honour the greatest gadgets, handsets and digital content from the past 12 months, the T3 Gadget Awards 2011 will allow you, the T3 reader, to get involved and cast your votes across all 19 categories to decide the winners of the Retailer of the Year, TV of the Year and the coveted Gadget of the Year awards.

Other prizes up for grabs include the App of the Year, Innovation of the Year, Gaming Gadget of the Year, Commuter Gadget of the Year and Digital Media Service of the Year. Two of the biggest tech brands Apple and Android are set to battle it out once again facing off across a number of different categories.

As well as being actively involved in the leading tech awards and in helping to decide which products triumph and receive the recognition they deserve, all readers who cast their votes in the T3 Gadget Awards 2011 will be entered into a prize draw to win a top-of-the-range Samsung Smart TV.

“From its humble beginnings in a Soho basement five years ago to the hugely respected industry event it is today, with more than 750,000 votes last year, the T3 Gadget Awards has become the UK’s leading tech awards,” said T3 Editor Luke Peters.

He added: “2011 is already a vintage year for top-quality tech, social-media evolution and manufacturer battles and we’re not even halfway through. It’s going to be an exciting few months"
