Milestone minus the keyboard finally lands on our shores following US release.
The Motorola Milestone XT720 is official. The spanking new Android phone was given the nod by Moto suits this morning in London, having initially been rolled out Stateside way back in January as the Motoroi.
The new look phone ditches the original Milestone’s somewhat awkward QWERTY slide out pad, going it alone with a capacitive touchscreen. Under the hood you’ll find Android 2.1, without the MotoBLUR skin which graces the likes of the DEXT.
The touchscreen matches its older bro’s 3.7-inch effort for size, with an 8 megapixel snapper slapped on the back and 720p HD video recording to boot. If you really love your handiwork, you can beam it onto your box using the in-built HDMI port.
Moto has said the Milestone X720 will rock up in Q2, which gives them just a few short weeks to kick it out of the door. What with it already being out in the US, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue. There’s no word on price plans, but check back for more news as we get it.
