Microsoft has confirmed that the anniversary remake of Halo: Combat Evolved will support its Kinect motion gaming peripheral
Microsoft has confirmed that the special anniversary edition of Halo: Combat Evolved will land boasting support of the company’s controller-free motion gaming peripheral, Kinect.
Whilst many avid gamers will fear the Kinect inclusion will hamper the possibilities of the Halo anniversary remake, Microsoft’s Game Studios head Phil Spencer making the announcement was keen to reassure the franchise’s fans.
"As a first party we believe that Kinect will be important to all genres of games, be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse, even games like Halo Anniversary has Kinect integration."
Although the extent of Kinect’s compatibility with the upcoming Halo release has yet to be detailed, Microsoft today announced: "The Kinect features we're exploring with 'Halo: Anniversary' are addictive and will not affect the core gameplay experience or alter our mission of delivering a faithful recreation of the original game."
