Audio Pro A10 MkII review: minimalist multiroom speaker with mighty sound
The Audio Pro A10 MkII focuses on what matters the most: sound quality

If sound quality is your top priority in a multiroom speaker, Audio Pro A10 MkII is worth considering. It isn't stuffed with lots of features, and the design isn't flashy, but it has a clean aesthetic, performs well sonically, and there are plenty of ways to connect to it.

Why you can trust T3

If you're concerned about your devices blending in with the decor of your home, Audio Pro offers a range of minimalist speakers that don’t overcomplicate design. Instead, it focuses on delivering what’s most important, the quality of audio delivery, rather than adding unnecessary bells and whistles.
The Audio Pro A10 MkII is still one of the best WiFi speakers in 2025, boasting loud, crystal-clear sound and plenty of ways to connect your devices, including several different multiroom options, and its subtle design won’t look out of place in any living room, office, or kitchen. Though it has been available for a while now, it remains just as good an option as it was a couple of years ago.
How much does the Audio Pro A10 MkII cost?
When it was first released in 2023, you’d be looking at paying £220 / $229 for the Audio Pro A10 MkII, but now you can regularly find it for around £170 in the UK and near $200 in the US. It’s available to buy from the Audio Pro online store and popular retailers like Amazon.
How is the Audio Pro A10 MkII different from the original?
The MkII model of Audio Pro’s A10 speaker improves on the first with AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Audio Pro’s multiroom technology – meaning you can more easily use it to play music in different rooms in your house simultaneously.
In 2025, Audio Pro rereleased the device in a brand new black colourway, which is the version I tested, as pictured. That'll be full price, though, as it's that much newer.
Design & Features
Audio Pro’s Scandinavian roots shine through in the design of its devices. The Audio Pro A10 MkII is simple, stylish and sleek, especially in the new black colourway.
It’s a similar shape to the Amazon Echo Studio, but significantly smaller, so it’ll be less obtrusive. The main cylinder is wrapped in a mesh fabric with a matte top plate holding a selection of small buttons to manually control the speaker.
There are buttons to pause or play the music, turn on Bluetooth pairing, switch between sources (WiFi, AUX and Bluetooth), adjust the volume, and there are four preset buttons to quickly access your favourite playlists or radio stations. There's no voice control, so these buttons are the easiest way to make changes to what you're listening to.
Across the top, there’s a curved line of LED lights that let you know the current volume level, and there are lights to let you know which source input is currently in use.
The design of the Audio Pro A10 MkII doesn’t push any boundaries. It’s discreet and classy, and will fit in nicely with any modern home. What's more is you can place it up on a shelf or mount it on a wall or ceiling, thanks to the mounting point on the back.
There are plenty of ways to connect your other devices to the MkII edition. It's compatible with Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Audio Pro Multiroom, and Spotify Connect, plus Bluetooth. It even has a 3.5mm port for wired connectivity. You’ll be able to play audio content from any device, whether that’s a smartphone, laptop or tablet.
Setting it up is a breeze: I was playing music in less than 5 minutes after taking it out of the box. You simply need to download the Audio Pro app on your Android or Apple phone and add a new device. My app picked up the speaker immediately and took me through a couple of simple steps to get it on my Wi-Fi network. If you add multiple compatible devices to the app, you can choose to play music in stereo, too.
How does the Audio Pro A10 MkII sound?
The Audio Pro A10 MkII focuses on what’s most important about any home speaker: sound quality. Its performance compensates for the limited features and lack of voice control, because it’s extraordinarily precise. It’s also very loud, if you need it, allowing you to play music over the noise of your surroundings.
Cold Little Heart by Michael Kiwanuka perfectly illustrates the A10's spacious and three-dimensional soundstage. The intro’s layers of electric guitar, strings, and drums are distinct and well-defined, paving the way for the strong vocals later in the track, which take centre stage without overshadowing the surrounding sounds.
Switching to something more energetic, like Roll The Dice by Shy FX, the speaker handles the transition well. It might not be as punchy as some other options among the best wireless speakers, but it still conveys plenty of depth while maintaining an impressive level of detail.
Through the Audio Pro app, you can adjust the bass and treble to better suit your taste, or the tracks you’re playing. While this control is fairly restricted compared to other speakers and lacks preset sound modes, it’s still better than having no control at all.
There are a couple of useful extras on the Audio Pro A10 MkII, one being the preset buttons. I had mine assigned to my favourite upbeat Spotify playlist and my most-listened-to mellow playlist, making them much quicker to access than if I were fiddling around on my phone trying to find them.
Another helpful tool is the alarm clock, which allows you to be woken up in the morning by one of your presets or a radio station. You can set it to repeat daily, and you can choose how loud to play it and how long to play it for. Other than that, the A10 doesn't have that many features.
Audio Pro A10 MkII review: Verdict
If you want a minimalist Wi-Fi speaker to create or add to your multiroom setup, and you prioritise sound quality over extra features, then Audio Pro's A10 MkII is an excellent option.
Its audio performance is the crown jewel, delivering music with incredible clarity and detail. I appreciated the various types of connectivity available, too. You can play music from all sorts of devices in multiple ways, through a wireless or wired connection.
What’s missing? Well, I would have liked to control it by voice, and it would be great to have more control over the sound via the app. The design might also be a bit plain for some people. None of these are dealbreakers, though, in what's a fantastic piece of kit that offers great value for money.
Also consider
The Sonos Era 300 is a top choice for anyone who wants to create a multiroom system in their home. It offers incredible sound that will fill even large living rooms. Plus it packs Dolby Atmos surround sound support as well as voice control through Amazon Alexa or Sonos’ own assistant. The design may not be for everyone, and it's certainly pricier, but this premium pick certainly stands out against the crowd.
If you use Apple’s ecosystem of devices, like the iPhone or HomeKit-compatible smart tech, I'd recommend the Apple HomePod. The speaker is similar in shape to the Audio Pro A10 MkII, but it adds a stylish light show to the top. You can expect punchy audio, and it doubles up as a smart home hub. But it’s worth knowing that there’s no Bluetooth and limited connectivity with non-Apple devices.
