Facebook phones coming to Three mobile in March 2011?

"Deeper integrations with some manufacturers." ...Like INQ

Is the company about to drop a couple of very social handsets?

Reports flying around the web today suggest that Facebook is indeed working on a couple of mobile phones, as was previously rumoured. A report from Bloomberg suggests that INQ Mobile has a partnership with the social networking giant, and plans to bring two Facebook-branded handsets to market early next year.

Facebook’s official (read: vague) line is that its projects are mainly to achieve "deeper integrations with some manufacturers,” but Bloomberg claims to have a quote from Mark Zuckerberg’s camp going some way further:

"We've been working with INQ for a couple of years now to help them build a deeply integrated Facebook experience on their devices. While we can't speak for their future product development plans, we can say that our view is that almost all experiences would be better if they were social.

The rumours suggest that two smartphones will be unveiled by Three mobile in the UK and AT&T in the States in March 2011. Are you convinced? Let us know on the T3 Twitter feed.
