Acer Android tablets: two by end of 2010

7 and 10 inch models incoming according to insiders

New tablets will be available on contract according to sources close to PC giant.

Acer’s fabled Android tablet, first talked up a couple of months back and teased by the company’s top brass to boot, will land by the end of the year. And what’s more, there’ll be two versions.

That’s the word according to Digitimes, which says it has the gossip straight from sources close to the company. One will pack a 7-inch screen, while the other will bulk up to 10-inches.

What’s more, both will rock ARM processors, Android 2.2 FroYo, along with Flash support and ‘multimedia capabilities’. The site also claims Acer is working with mobile networks, which would mean 3G editions and the chance to nab the gadget on contract, a la the Dell Streak.
