Quick Summary

IKEA has announced a number of new Qi2 wireless chargers, all of which have a unique design.

There is a catch though – they're not yet available in the UK.

If you’re still charging your phone using a traditional cable, you’re doing it all wrong. Especially when there are some great wireless chargers out there that not only top up the juice, but act as stands, holding devices and even lights, based on the most recent additions.

What do IKEA's new wireless chargers offer?

As spotted by 9to5Google, IKEA has launched several Qi2 wireless chargers – providing faster wire-free charging speeds for compatible smartphones.

There are three in the IKEA VÄSTMÄRKE collection, with each offering unique designs, and as well as Qi2 speeds, they make charging your phone much more interesting than sticking a cable in the bottom.

The first is shaped like a donut and comes in a bright red colour option. It’s made from silicone and it features a 1.2-metre cable hidden inside a flexible section. In true IKEA style, that section can also pop outwards to allow you to hold your phone, similar to a PopSocket but a lot bigger.

The second isn’t too dissimilar to the Pixelsnap Charger with Stand and some of Belkin’s stand chargers. It allows you to charge your phone, whilst having it positioned at an angle. It’s a good option for a bedside table and the IKEA option has a cork bottom, which looks great from an interiors point of view too.

Last, but certainly not least, is the wireless charging that’s effectively a light-up bowl.

The wireless charging puck sits in the middle of the device, which you push to turn on the light. Surrounding the puck is a bowl that you can put useful things in, from keys to sunglasses.

All three wireless chargers are certified for Qi2 and support 15W output. They are available through the IKEA website, but at the moment, they aren't available in the UK.

The red charging puck costs just $9.99 in the States, while the charging stand and light each cost $24.99.
