REI Outlet sale has some brilliant Patagonia deals – here are my top three picks (and link to the rest)
Time to get some affordable Patagonia gear

I like Patagonia like the next person, but at full price, I can only afford to buy a few pieces a year. Luckily, retailers like REI often sell the brand's clothes and accessories for lower prices to shift stock (or to be nice – I'll let you decide).

The sad truth is that most of these items are only available in a few sizes only, and those are usually at the extremes (think XXXS and XXXL). However, sometimes, you'll strike gold and come across listings that are pretty much 'just' cheap for no reason other than they're last season’s colours or the retailer ordered too many.
That’s when I pounce, because it’s still the same high-quality Patagonia gear without the premium price tag. I trawled through REI's Patagonia Outlet listings and selected three of my favourite items currently available. There are more, of course, especially if you're happy to size up or down.
With a soft organic cotton corduroy shell and warm Thermogreen insulation, this jacket is an autumn dream. The relaxed fit layers easily, while the Beeswax Tan colour adds instant vintage vibes. It’s over $100 off right now at REI, a seriously good deal on a versatile, cold-weather staple.
Patagonia’s Wide-Wale Corduroy Pants are a throwback done right. Soft, warm, and made from organic cotton, they’re built for comfort but styled for weekend outings or casual workdays. The rich Shelter Brown shade goes with everything, and at nearly $100 off at REI Outlet, they’re a steal worth snapping up.
This clever hybrid tote-meets-backpack is perfect for daily adventures, gym trips or travel. It’s made from 100% recycled polyester and features an internal laptop sleeve, breathable straps, and clever organisation. In the beautiful Currents/Dulse Mauve colourway, it’s currently over $20 off at REI Outlet. Grab it before it’s gone.
Why shop Patagonia?
Patagonia is a company that’s built a reputation on doing things differently. Known for its rugged, functional gear, the brand makes clothing and accessories that are designed to last. But the real reason people keep coming back? It’s the brand’s commitment to the planet.
Patagonia has long been a pioneer in sustainable manufacturing, using recycled and organic materials wherever possible, and actively encouraging customers to repair and reuse their gear rather than replace it.
The company has even gone as far as changing its mission statement to prioritise saving the Earth over growing profits. From its Worn Wear program to its efforts to reduce emissions, Patagonia’s ethos is about thoughtful, responsible consumption.
So when you buy Patagonia, you’re not just getting gear that looks and performs great, you’re also supporting a company that’s trying to leave the world better than it found it. And if you can grab it on sale? Even better.
