Legendary outdoors company The North Face wants to give Sydneysiders a chance to experience rock climbing for the first time, or for a nice little climbing fix in an urban environment for experienced climbers.
Bringing the outdoors to the heart of Sydney, the company will be transforming part of Sydney’s World Square into an urban adventure playground. The set up will feature a large bouldering wall that should be great as a first time experience for novices.
The event is free and will run from Friday 11th - Sunday, 13th October. It’s only on for one weekend, so if you’ve ever fancied giving climbing a go, or already know how great it is and want to be part of the fun, pop on down to World Square and enjoy the free offering.
The North Face will be laying on more than just climbing, and it all sounds like jolly good free fun.
Open to the public for one weekend only, you can experience beginner-friendly climbing sessions in partnership with one of Australia’s leading climbing gyms BlocHaus, with special guests athletes including Lucy Stirling and Ben Cossey along with olympian Tom O’Halloran all hanging around to share their love of climbing.
Athlete coaching and live music plus Interactive games will be happening, and we’ve been told you can also expect free refreshments and prizes.
Just rock up any time you like, here's the schedule:
