Teaser video promises full skinny on 2 September

Augmented reality and e-reader skills promised in new clip.

After plenty of leaks and loose talk, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is finally official. The Korean tech titan has unleashed an official teaser clip, touting the tablet’s killer features and promising to reveal all at IFA on 2 September. That’s next Wednesday.

The 7-inch machine promises to pack in Android 2.2, video calling, augmented reality skills, HD video, PC link-up and an e-reader.

There’s also a camera round the back, giving it the edge over its number one rival, the iPad. After weeks of hearing about the Galaxy Tab from other sources, Sammy’s admission that it’s just around the corner is bound to get gadget fans all het up, as we finally see the first true competitor to Apple’s killer slate.
