Samsung Galaxy Tab: 8.9-inch version to launch March 22nd?

New Android tablet set to bridge the gap between 7 and 10.1

Invite points to unveiling at CTIA in Orlando

Unconvinced by the power of the Samsung Galaxy Tab? Think the newly announced Galaxy Tab 10.1 is too big and ungainly? Looks like Sammie could have the perfect solution for you, as it’s set to unveil an 8.9-inch tablet in March.

The invite pictured is for a ‘Mobile Unpacked’ event on the 22nd of this month - during CTIA in Orlando. The slogan asks: ‘What’s your Tab life?’ and shows ‘78910’ on an anonymous looking Samsung tablet device. Since there’s already 7 and 10-inch Tabs, the logical thinking is that ‘89’ refers to an 8.9-inch flavour coming soon.

Will a three-pronged tablet assault and more consumer choice help Samsung claw its way to the top of the market? Let us know your thoughts on the T3 Twitter feed. We’ll bring you all the official news on March 22nd. In the mean time, check out our hands on video of the 10.1-inch Tab below, for an idea of what to expect:
