Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet adds USB port adaptor
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 adds USB port
Samsung has followed in Apple’s footsteps once again revealing an add-on USB port adaptor for its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet.
Whilst the upcoming super-slim Samsung tablet does not offer a USB connection port as standard Samsung has announced it is to offer an additional USB port adaptor for its 10.1-inch device that connects via the units 30-pin docking port.
Much the same as Apple’s iPad and iPad 2 compatible USB port adaptor, Samsung’s USB providing add-on will allow users of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and presumably the Galaxy Tab 8.9 when it lands, to link their tablet devices with USB keyboards, mice, external hard drives and a whole host of performance enhancing USB peripherals.
Available now from the Samsung Marketplace priced $19.99 (£12.39) the Galaxy Tab USB port adaptor is joined by a Samsung 30-Pin to USB Charging Data Cable that will allow users to use their tablets as external modems whilst tethered to a PC.
