Hyundai concept car for the ultimate Apple lifestyle

Call yourself an Apple fanboy? You have to claim to that title unless you've got one of these...

RIDES Magazine held nothing back when they transformed the interior of a Hyundai Genesis sedan into an Apple-inspired, gadget grotto for the upcoming 2008 Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show.

RIDES' Genesis, despite having a rather plain and ordinary exterior, looks like Tim Westwood and an Apple Fanboy have had a Pimp-My-Ride battle to the death, filling the Hyundai with Apple products in a sometimes over-the-top, slightly pointless and less than practical manner.

This example of the possibilities of in-car entertainment, however, is not without merit.

Although the 20-inch Apple cinema display stored in the boot is completely impractical whilst moving, the iPhone dock and the two 8.4-inch VGA headrest monitors linked to their own Mac Mini computers, can be utilised by passengers whenever the desire takes them.

RIDES' onslaught of Apple products to its customised Genesis doesn't end there though.

A MacBook Air in the centre console, an iPod touch and two wireless Apple keyboards with their own dropdown trays all work with the car's very own Wi-Fi network. Cinematic surround sound speakers crammed into the car complete the gadget package.

All this might sound like the dream vehicle entertainment package, but how much is really necessary, especially for the driver? With that many distractions, no one could keep their eyes on the road instead of the tech.

Owners wouldn't be the only ones with their eyes on this gadget filled car either. All these Apple products aren't just the dreams of Apple fanboys, the good ol' common thief would think Christmas had come early if they saw this car parked up!
