DJI launched its Prime Day deals a week early, it seems! I already reported on a brill Osmo Action 5 Pro offer, but after further inspection, I found an even better discount: the coveted Mini 4K is now only £169, which really is the cheapest the drone has ever been, at least as far as I can tell.

The Mini 4K a bit of a fan favourite model from the Chinese drone giant, thanks to its camera quality, long flight time and beginner-friendly controls. You essentially get a drone that, even just a few years ago, would have been considered a top-of-the-range option for less than the price of a pair of running shoes.

Capture stunning 4K aerial footage with DJI's lightweight Mini 4K, featuring a three-axis gimbal, 10km HD video transmission and up to 31 minutes of flight time.

The DJI Mini 4K is an entry-level camera drone designed to make aerial photography accessible without sacrificing the features that matter most. Weighing less than 249g, it features a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor capable of capturing 4K video at up to 30 fps and 12MP still images.

The camera is mounted on a three-axis mechanical gimbal to keep footage smooth and stable even when flying in breezy conditions. DJI's video transmission system offers a range of up to 10km, providing a reliable live feed back to the controller.

The Mini 4K can remain airborne for up to 31 minutes on a single charge, giving you plenty of time to explore a location and capture footage. It also offers Level 5 wind resistance, helping it maintain stability in winds of up to 38kph.

For beginners, DJI includes a range of intelligent safety and flight features, including automatic take-off and landing, Return-to-Home, GPS positioning and one-tap QuickShots modes that create cinematic flight paths automatically.

The drone can also capture panoramas, making it easy to produce wide landscape images without complex editing.
