You’re on the hunt for the right gear to suit the situation and don’t have the time to spend trawling the interwebs. Fear not T3 is here.
This guide will offer you the best of the best, the cream of the crop, so you know what to buy for what you need - no matter what it is.
This week we’re rounding up the important kit you’ll need to deal with univeristy living.
Best student laptops
The first computers were introduced at universities, though they were a little different from the svelte laptops we're looking at today. And talking of svelte, our best student laptop of the moment is the fantastic . - providing you're happy with Google's Chrome OS rather than Windows 10 or OS X.
The below link gives a guide to buying. It is also home to our picks of the notebooks currently available, ranging from humble typing machines to top-of-the-line desktop replacements for those hoping for a bit of LAN gaming between all that work.
Sure you might be moving out of home but that doesn’t mean your new digs will see you much. Being on the move - a lot - you’ll need a decent phone with good battery life and excellent camera.
Lucky for you T3 has already lined up everything you need to know about the best smartphones out there right now. So from the quickest fast charging as you go out the door to snapping the best pictures of your mate’s notes from that class you missed - these are the phones you should be looking at to cover it all.
Best outdoor coat
When you’re out, drunk, in the rain and cold, lost and unable to find your way home - a decent coat will suddenly become the best thing you’ve ever spent your money on. Of course day to day, walking to lectures in the wet it’ll be pretty invaluable too.
These jackets vary in price and special skills. What they have in common is their ability to withstand whatever the weather throws at you. That means total waterproofing so no amount of rain is an excuse to miss class again - sorry.
Best pod coffee machines
Coffee saves. And now this could be your saviour many a morning while at university. Nobody said uni was meant to be easy. If you’re burning the candle at both ends that challenge becomes even more mighty. But with a good coffee on your side taking on anything is suddenly possible.
These coffee makers are pod based meaning they’re super easy to use and clean away - ideal for uni then. We’re not saying they’re the cheapest option out there but if your student loan has to go on something you might as well make it a useful tool like this. Check out the options at the link here.
