T3 Verdict

The Shark Glam is Shark’s most polished multi-styler yet, blending Flex technology with smart features like Gloss Lock and Heat Sense for safer, shinier results. Whilst wet-to-dry styling works better than just dry, and the safety shut-off can interrupt on higher settings, its salon-quality attachments make it a standout choice for all hair types.

If I had to pick, testing out multi-stylers and beauty tools is one of my favourite parts of the job, and if I had to pick again, Shark Beauty would definitely be one of my favourite brands. Everything I’ve tested so far, from the Shark CryoGlow to the new Shark FacialPro Glow, has been outstanding. Now, it’s time for the the Shark Glam.

The Shark Glam is a premium multi-styler that combines the versatility of air styling with the precision of ceramic hot tools. It’s designed to deliver great results without damaging your hair, and the best part is that it works for all hair types.

I’ve been using it as my go-to styler for the past few weeks, and you'll find my full thoughts below.

Shark Glam Multi-styler review: price and availability

One of the most exciting things about the Shark Glam is that it comes in three different versions tailored to different needs. Straight & Waves (£339.99), Straight, Waves & Curls (£369.99) and Sleek Straight, Waves & Curls (£369.99). Each version can be purchased from Shark's online store and other selected retailers.

The model I’ve been testing is the Straight, Waves & Curls, which comes with the Silki tool, Glossi tool, Auto-Wrap curlers, concentrator, diffuser and storage case.

Shark Glam Multi-styler review: design and features

Shark has gone back to its roots with the design, giving the Glam a sleek gold-tone finish that gives a premium feel. It's also a lot more lightweight than previous models, and has s a 2.5-metre cord and auto shut-off feature for safety.

Two new features also help explain the higher price tag. There's Gloss Lock Technology, which seals in shine to reduce frizz and leave hair looking polished, and Heat Sense Technology, which monitors the temperature 1,000 times per second to keep it under 150°C and prevent damage.

There are also three airflow settings, three heat settings and cold shot, giving plenty of flexibility. Of course, Shark’s iconic Flex Technology is back too, which is still one of my favourite things about the brand.

At a first look, the standout attachments are the Silki and Glossi tools. The Silki tool, first seen on the Shark FlexFusion, is a straightening attachment that uses ceramic hot plates for styling the hair with air, heat or both.

The Glossi tool is a brand new ceramic round brush that uses both heat and air for styling, leaving hair with a glossy finish without the frizz.

The redesigned Auto-Wrap curlers are also improved, gripping hair more securely this time around compared to the original FlexStyle.

Shark Glam Multi-styler review: performance

After just a few days of testing the Shark Glam, it’s safe to say this is Shark’s best multi-styler yet. The FlexStyle will always be a classic, but Shark has taken the best bits from that and its successors and rolled them into one incredibly impressive tool.

Every attachment I’ve tried has been great, but the Silki and Glossi tools really stood out. The Silki gave me the straightest finish I’ve ever achieved with a multi-styler, and it was the only attachment that worked just as well on dry hair as it did on wet. The Glossi tool, meanwhile, delivered a gorgeous blow-out look, though I found the results were glossier and smoother when styling wet-to-dry rather than just dry.

As mentioned, the redesigned Auto-Wrap curlers are also a welcome return as they grip so much better than the old version. You can see my first try with them below, paired with Colour Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray and Schwarzkopf Ultra Hairspray.

Design-wise, the Shark Glam feels lightweight and comfortable in hand, with the Flex technology making it easy to handle without strain. The 2.5-metre cord makes a huge difference, and all the attachments click in and release smoothly with no hassles.

The Gloss Lock Technology and Heat Sense Technology work quietly in the background, but it’s reassuring to know they’re there. I definitely noticed extra shine after styling, which I’d put down to Gloss Lock alongside my go-to products. It's also nice knowing the temperature is being monitored so my hair isn’t at risk of major heat damage.

My main gripe is to do with the auto shut-off safety feature. It cut out a few times, especially on the hottest wet-to-dry setting, which meant waiting 10-15 minutes for it to cool down before switching it back on. It’s a sensible safety measure, but not ideal if you’re halfway through styling. My advice is to stick to the middle heat setting if you can, as it’s hot enough and avoids the mid-style interruption.

Shark Glam Multi-styler review: verdict

The Shark Glam feels like Shark’s most complete and polished multi-styler yet. It combines the brand’s signature Flex technology with clever new features like Gloss Lock and Heat Sense for safer styling, whilst offering a range of attachments that deliver salon-quality results. I did find that the wet-to-dry results were better than just dry, and the safety auto shut-off would interrupt styling on higher settings. However, if you’re looking for a premium all-in-one styler that works across hair types, the Shark Glam is a top pick.

Shark Glam Multi-styler review: alternatives to consider

If you like the look of the Shark Glam but want something more budget-friendly, check out the Revamp Professional Dynamic Pro Blow Dry 7-in-1 Ionic Air Styler. It doesn’t have a straightening attachment, but it’s under £200 and still packed with options.

If you do want that straightening feature and have the budget, Dyson’s new Airwrap Coanda 2x is the only real competitor. However, it comes down to which brand’s styling feel you prefer.
