HTC expand Android and Windows Phone 7 handset offerings
UK release dates for the HTC 7 Pro and the HTC Gratia have officially been revealed with both devices to be made available to the British public next month.
Although precise arrival dates for the two upcoming handsets are currently unknown, HTC has announced that the Windows Phone 7 powered HTC 7 Pro and the Android 2.2 run HTC Gratia will finally land in the UK this February.
Previously scheduled for a pre-Christmas 2010 arrival the HTC 7 Pro is the third Windows Phone 7 handset to touch down from the Taiwanese manufacturer following the OS launch day arrival of the HTC HD7 and the HTC Mozart 7. Featuring 16GB of in-built storage, a 5-megapixel snapper with 720p HD video recording capabilities and the Phone 7 required 1GHz processor, the HTC 7 Pro will be the first device sporting the latest Microsoft mobile OS to host a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
Also a long known about device the HTC Gratia was originally unveiled back in October as the company’s European remake of the Stateside specific HTC Aria. Sporting a 3.2-inch touchscreen and a HTC 7 Pro reminiscent 5-megapixel camera, the Gratia will come equipped with HTC’s popular Android specific Sense UI.
Confirmed network carriers and standalone SIM-free pricing for both devices has yet to be announced. Stay tuned to T3.com and the T3 Twitter and Facebook feeds for all the latest on the upcoming HTC releases.
