Flowd app launches to connect artists to fans
Finnish company Digia has officially launched its Flowd smartphone app that they hope will keep you in contact with your favourite artists.
The free location-based app plans to get fans talking with music acts, while keeping up to date with the latest news, tours and anything their chosen artist chooses to share.
As well as being able to check-in to places, Flowd can be synced with your Twitter and Facebook accounts to carry out your usual social networking activities, while a Flo Tab much like the Facebook wall lets you see what everyone else is getting up to.
One feature set to be added in the future will be the ability for artists to pinpoint their most active fans and reward their loyalty with exclusive merchandise and content.
Any artist can sign up to Flowd which could be a way for less known acts to keep in touch with its fanbase. The Flowd app is available to download for free for the iPhone and Android smartphones from today.
