Apple preparing smaller "worldmode" iPhone Nano?
Earlier in the year T3 mocked up an iPhone Nano prototype - could we have been on the right track?
iPhone 4 rumourmongerers are speculating about a new "hybrid" iPhone which will be compatible with every mobile network in the world.
It will apparently run on a hybrid Qualcomm chip, which will suport CDMA networks in the US such as Sprint and Verizon, as well as GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile. Dubbed the "worldmode" iPhone, it will apparently launch in the third quarter of 2010, which is the usual time period a new iPhone is introduced in.
Where did all these rumours originate from? As with the iPhone 4 rumours from last week, a supplier is being pointed at. Pegatron will apparently build the "worldmode" iPhone, which will have a 2.8-inch screen, so will be smaller than the usual iPhone size. iPhone Nano, anyone?
By the sounds of it, this "worldmode" iPhone will be a different device to the iPhone 4, which looks set to have the same 3.5-inch screen, judging by the leaked photo of the midboard which circulated the tech sites last week.

I believe that the shape and weight are good choices to innovate but what we really want is practicality: meaning better battery life, faster, reliable and simplification on every-day things like wireless sync (MobilMe doesn't support exchange!) Better camera and video quality and why not now taht we are asking, an apple bluetooth ear-phones with remote commands that can be also syncro with pc or mac.
But life is a bitch and we never get what you want, so i guess thinner is better (My trousers will stop falling down)

Worldmode great, smaller screen screaming "NO".
Make it slightly larger, more resolution, preferably OLED.
And yes, even slightly thicker, for longer lasting battery.
Unless this intended for primarily Asian markets.
