Huawei launches world's first medically certified smartwatch, and it monitors your blood pressure 24 hours a day
The Watch D2 is Huawei’s most cutting-edge smartwatch to date
Following a recent surge of major updates and product launches, Huawei has once again impressed consumers with the unveiling of its latest smartwatch, the Watch D2. It succeeds the previous Huawei Watch GT 5 Series, now offering several enhanced features and a sleek design upgrade.
With a single tap, users can measure five key health indicators and generate a comprehensive health report to identify potential health risks. These indicators include heart rate, blood oxygen levels, stress, skin temperature and sleep breathing awareness.
The watch is also the first to feature Huawei TruSense, an in-depth health monitoring system that aims to provide users with the means to understand their bodies better. The new update has been widely regarded as laying the foundations for the next decade of wearable devices, so the launch of the Huawei Watch D2 marks a significant milestone for the brand.
After achieving its EU MDR (European Medical Device Regulation) certification, the Watch D2 is able to provide Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring. This allows users to set smart reminders for blood pressure measurements, enabling them to check their blood pressure by simply raising their wrist. It also automatically measures blood pressure during sleep, ensuring an uninterrupted night’s rest. This feature is particularly useful for those who suffer from hypertension or have been told to monitor their blood pressure by a doctor, especially as the watch helps identify blood pressure circadian rhythms and detect abnormal nighttime blood pressure decline rates.
The Huawei Watch D2 is equipped with a variety of powerful sports features, catered by over 80 exercise modes that include running, walking, cycling and mountain climbing. Pinpoint GNSS positioning and workout evaluations enable users to accurately record exercise sessions and receive real time data.
The watch also holds a strong focus on wellness, offering insights into stress management, sleep tracking and blood pressure monitoring. Women can also easily track their menstrual cycles, with detailed observations into ovulation tracking and overall reproductive health.
Design wise, the Huawei Watch D2 is one of the lightest and slimmest blood pressure monitors available on the market today. Its 1.82-inch screen allows for convenient monitoring at all times, and an exquisite rotating crown and glossy mirror bezel provides an unmatched premium feel.
For a limited time only, buyers can receive a free pair of Huawei Freebuds when purchasing the Watch D2 from the Huawei Store. Priced at £349.99, the launch offer allows buyers to save nearly £100 altogether.
