Samsung Galaxy S9 screen details leak already

Screen sizes to remain the same as the Galaxy S8 and S8+

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is barely out, the Galaxy Note 8 isn’t even here, yet leaks have begun for the Galaxy S8 flagship.

According to Korean news outlet The Investor, we can expect the Samsung Galaxy S9 to come with the same screen size as the current Galaxy S8.

That means a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen with that bezel free Infinity Display edging and no home button. If the same happens for the S9+ that will be like the S8+ at 6.2-inches.

The resolution of the Samsung Galaxy S9 screen has not yet been mentioned but expect it to be at least 2K, as is the case with the current model. There is, of course, a chance that Samsung will upgrade to 4K and HDR.

One question that remains is, will this screen have an embedded fingerprint reader?

Apple is reportedly struggling to crack the tech for its iPhone 8 and Samsung is allegedly also going to fail to get in it its Galaxy Note 8. That all in mind we expect the screen size may well be the same in the S9 as the S8 but the resolution and tech within that could be very different.

Expect the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ to arrive in 2018 at a similar time to this year’s S8, meaning around May.
