Garmin's coveted mid-range Forerunner falls to its lowest-ever price at a major UK retailer
The Forerunner 570 can finally be yours for less than £400
I thought it was a bit strange for Amazon to launch its latest event a week before payday until I realised the pay weekend fell on 4th July, which obviously enjoys priority in the US. With both now behind us, it's time to take deals seriously, starting with this Forerunner 570 offer at John Lewis.

As far as I can tell, the watch has never been this cheap before, even at Amazon. It dipped to £410-ish last December, but the current £400 price certainly is as cheap as the watch gets – at least for now. With marathon-training season in full swing, now is the time to get a new watch that can actually help you strain smarter.
Garmin's latest mid-range running watch combines a bright AMOLED display, advanced training metrics, multi-band GPS and a premium aluminium design. It also adds a speaker and microphone for calls and voice commands, making it a superb all-round training companion.
The 47mm Garmin Forerunner 570 strikes a sweet spot between performance and everyday usability, packing many of the company's latest training features into a lightweight 50g case.
Its 1.4-inch AMOLED display is the brightest ever fitted to a Forerunner, offering crisp visuals and excellent readability, while the aluminium bezel gives it a more premium feel than previous mid-range models.
The watch uses Garmin's latest multi-band GPS and Elevate Gen5 optical heart rate sensor for improved accuracy during training.
It provides advanced metrics including Training Readiness, Training Status, wrist-based running power, running dynamics, VO2 Max, race predictions and recovery insights, alongside Garmin Coach and Garmin Triathlon Coach plans.
The running watch also adds a built-in speaker and microphone for taking calls, using your phone's voice assistant and issuing voice commands directly to the watch.
With support for music storage, Garmin Pay, incident detection and up to 11 days of battery life in smartwatch mode or 18 hours in GPS mode, the Forerunner 570 is designed to be a capable companion for both daily wear and serious training.
