UK gets Microsoft's updated games machine today
Xbox 360 S on sale now, sales surge 88 per cent
The Xbox 360 S, Microsoft’s slim update to its aging games machine, has landed in the UK. As of today – July 16th – you should be able to waltz into your nearest games retailer and snap one up.

The console has an RRP of £199.99 (although some cheaper deals are around), which’ll get you a machine with built in WiFi, a 250GB hard drive and a fan so quiet you could hear a pin drop. It’s also got a bespoke port for the upcoming Kinect add-on.
According to reports, both this new model and price cuts on the now outdated one are responsible for a huge spike in Xbox 360 sales: The consoles has had an 88 per cent better June this year than last.
