Motorola slams Apple in Droid X advert

Moto latest to hit back over antenna claims

New ad gives Cupertino a roasting after Droid X's teardown by Apple.

Motorola has become the latest mobile maker to hit back at Apple’s antenna claims. In a new ad for its Droid X handset, it leads with the simple line, “No jacket required.”

The putdown comes after Apple included the Droid X in its line up of phones which also suffer from antenna issues. The claims have been strongly refuted by Motorola.

Motorola uses the ad to say it believes, “…a customer shouldn’t have to dress up their phone for it to work properly,” and that the phone’s dual antenna design “…allows you to hold the phone any way you like.”

It seems Apple’s increasingly bullish stance is creating even more enemies. But with over 3 million iPhone 4s sold, does it really mind what others think? For more on this and loads of other gadget news, be sure to check out our Facebook and Twitter pages.
