Speculation continues to grow around the imminent arrival of the mooted iPad 2 as a number of UK retailers sell out of the original Apple tablet.
With price cuts to the first-generation iPad yesterday sparking rumours about an upcoming second-gen model, it has emerged today that a number of high street and online retails have sold out of certain iPad SKUs, further fuelling iPad 2 anticipation.
Argos and Misco have become the latest in a growing list of retailers to sell out of certain SKUs of the market leading tablet with the dwindling stock levels and reduced prices seemingly contradicting reports that the second-generation Apple tablet has been delayed until June.
The lower storage Wi-Fi + 3G iPads that Argos and Misco are suffering stock shortages off have been reported as out of stock at John Lewis, Comet and the Carphone Warehouse recently with the retailers reportedly confirming they will not be replenishing stocks.
Originally expected to be unveiled earlier this month, the iPad 2 is believed to be heading to launch sporting front and rear-facing cameras, a slimmer, lighter form factor and Apple’s FaceTime video calling technologies.
