UK mobile network provider Three has revealed it is to stock the iPad 2 when it launches in the UK with a number of exclusive data plans.
Three, which offered the original generation Apple iPad with 15GB of monthly data for £20 per month and an initial £99 fee, has declared it will offer the “iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G and also dedicated data plans for the iPad 2 in the coming weeks,” but failed to reveal what the data plans will entail.
Whilst Vodafone and Everything Everywhere partners T-Mobile and Orange have all revealed they are to stock the iPad 2 following its UK arrival on March 25th, Three looks set to once again wait to see what other data plans are offered before continuing its run of undercutting its competitors on iDevices.
Having launched in the US last week, Apple has reported stock shortages on the iPad 2 with shipping for online orders now topping the four to five week time frame. The iPad 2 was officially unveiled by Steve Jobs earlier this month with the widely expected inclusion of front and rear facing cameras, a dual-core processor and a slimmer, lighter form factor.
