Sony NEX-5N super-slim compact unleashed

High ISO and sleek design for new NEX snapper

NEX-5N is sequel to best-selling NEX-5.

Sony’s new top-end NEX-7 a touch too much for your tastes? Then the Sony NEX05 might just be the answer. The successor to the ace, Sony NEX-5, this interchangeable lens compact measures just 23.3mm thin and is fully loaded with smarts to keep budding photo enthusiasts happy.

16.1 megapixels means you can take high resolution shots with ease, while a new BIONZ processor allows the ISO to be ramped up to a frankly ludicrous 25,600. That means shots in dark places should be a doddle, although we imagine there’ll be fair bit of noise thrown into the bargain too.

10 frames per second continuous shooting will make firing off sports shots and the like a breeze, while Full HD video also comes as standard. Picture Effect modes mean you can tweak your handiwork on the NEX-5N without having to load it up to Photoshop. There are stacks of art modes too for giving your images a unique feel before you start shooting.

The NEX-5N works with Sony’s E-mount lenses and is set for release in September, Tempted? Let us know now on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
