Samsung Galaxy Nexus UK release date officially confirmed
The first handset to land sporting Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system will touch down next month as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus UK release date is officially confirmed as November 17th.
Officially unveiled last week alongside the latest edition to the Android OS family, the Galaxy Nexus looks set to build on the success of Samsung’s Galaxy brand following on from the likes of the market dominating powerhouse that is the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Specs
Boasting a bevy of high-end specs the Galaxy Nexus will hit UK soil in a matter of weeks featuring a hefty 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a 1280 x 720p resolution alongside a 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.
On the rear the Galaxy Nexus is set to host a fully optimised 5-megapixel camera with 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities and a second 1.3-megapixel snapper residing on the front. The handset will be made available in 16GB and 32GB storage capacities.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Price
With the Samsung Galaxy Nexus UK release date officially confirmed attention now turns to the handset’s price. Whilst online retailer Amazon has made the Android 4.0 handset available for pre-order with a princely £549 price tag smartphone retailers and UK network providers Vodafone, Three and O2 have all confirmed they will stock the device on subsidised contracts.
