Nokia N8 lands in the UK
Nokia has rewarded us for the wait for the Nokia N8 - it's finally gone on sale in the UK.
Available from the online Nokia store at £429 SIM-free, the Symbian^3 phone was touted to be the saviour of the company.
Slated for an October 22 release on networks, it's available SIM-free a week earlier online. However, the deals for the Nokia N8 with networks are now available on the respective operators' web sites.
The Nokia N8 features a 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 720p HD video recording abilities, a 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitative touchscreen display and Ovi Maps navigation.
The Nokia N8 may come with new features to enter the smartphone race, but it's going to get a lot of competition from the Windows Phone 7 series, with the HTC Windows Phone 7 handsets being unveiled recently.
