The second device in Nokia's impressive starting line-up of Windows Phone 7 handsets, the Nokia Lumia 710 looks set to hit the UK in the days following the turn of the New Year, new reports have revealed.

The lower speced sibling of the well received and sleekly designed Nokia Lumia 800, the Lumia 710 was officially unveiled alongside its already released counterpart but has yet to be handed an official arrival time by the Finnish phone manufacturer.

Whilst official confirmation is still in waiting, smartphone retailer Digitalphone.co.uk has placed the Windows Phone Mango handset within its 'coming soon' section stating the device will be available within the first week of January.

With a January 6th Nokia Lumia 710 release date the most likely launch possibility within this touted timeframe, the budget handset's arrival could be easily overshadowed by the start of CES 2012 due to kick off just two days later.

Arching back to the Nokia handsets of yore, the Lumia 710 boasts a series of interchangeable and brightly hued fascias with a 5-megapixel rear-mounted snapper handling the device's camera capabilities.

HD 720p video recording capabilities also feature on the Lumia 710 with a 3.7-inch ClearBlack display and a touted 400 hour standby battery life completing the handset's specs offering.
