Motorola's new flagship device on the horizon
Network provider Orange has announced it is to offer the eagerly awaited Motorola Atrix in UK with the dual-core Android handset to hit stores tomorrow, May 4th.
Officially unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at the turn of the year, the Atrix is to hit the UK tomorrow boasting a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 4-inch QHD display, 1GB of RAM and Google’s Android 2.2, FroYo operating system.
Whilst seemingly behind on the Android stakes, a 2.3 Gingerbred update is reportedly on the way, the Atrix’s true potential is released via its more ingenious features that include an optional Lapdock that transforms the Atrix into a fully fledged laptop computer with WebTop OS.
Orange will offer the Atrix at the higher end of the pricing spectrum with the Everything Everywhere partner brandishing a 24 month £35 per month contract on wannabe Atrix owners that will provide 600 monthly minutes, 750MB of data and unlimited text messages.
