More new Nokia Symbian smartphones leaked
N500, N600, N700 and N701 all spotted in leaked docs.
Thought Nokia was giving up on Symbian after deciding to go all in with Windows Phone? Think again. Just days after the leak of the forthcoming Nokia N5, four more phones packing the updated version of the ailing smartphone OS have been leaked.
The ‘affordable, reliable, fast’ N500, codenamed Fate, kicks off proceedings, with a 5 megapixel snapper and a snappy 1GHz processor. The N600, also dubbed Cindy, will tote a 3.2-inch screen with a 1GHz processor, a similar 5MP snapper and NFC smarts.
But its the N700 (Helen) and N701 (Zeta) that are likely to set tongues wagging. The latter, with a 3.5-inch AMOLED panel, 8MP camera and 1GHz processor, it looks like being Espoo’s slickest phone ever. The N700 takes things down a notch with a 3.2-inch screen, but will be the thinnest smartphone in the world according to leaked marketing material.
Each phone is set to run Symbian Belle, the follow-up to Symbian Anna, currently kicking it on the latest Finnish smartphones. Stay tuned for prices and official release dates.
