Microsoft appears to have delayed the UK release of its much-hyped Surface tablet, with those who have pre-ordered the device receiving an email from the Big M explaining the hold-up.
The missive sent to those who’ve already laid down cash for the tablet says, "The release date for the preorder product has changed. The product listed below will now be available on 02 November 2012."
The Verge is reporting that sources have told it that the delay is down to shipments being held onto by customs here in the UK. Either way, it looks as if that initial 26 October release date is now wide of the mark.
Disappointed UK punters can at least console themselves with the knowledge that pre-orders of Microsoft Surface have now sold-out in the States, with hungry first-adopters having to wait three weeks for delivery.
